Call for Minitrack Proposals

Conference Theme: Digital Humanities

The Program Co-Chairs of the 33rd Americas Conference on Information Systems invite proposals for minitracks. AMCIS 2027 will be held at Mackenzie Presbyterian University in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from Monday, July 26, through Friday, July 30, 2027. This will be the first AMCIS hosted in Brazil.

Minitrack Proposals

Proposal Requirements

  • Each minitrack may have one to five chairs. Two or three chairs are preferred.
  • An individual may chair no more than two minitracks.
  • A track chair may not chair a minitrack within the same track.
  • The proposal must include the minitrack title and description.
  • The proposal must list each chair’s name, affiliation, and institutional email address.
  • The proposal should identify any journal or book publication opportunities for accepted papers.

Digital Humanities and General Track

The Digital Humanities track also serves as the General Track. It welcomes theme-focused minitracks, minitracks that do not fit another listed track, and minitracks from SIGs or AIS communities that are not running a full track in 2027. It also contains the General Topics minitrack for submissions from track chairs and review coordinators.

AI Related Minitracks

Several AMCIS 2027 tracks address artificial intelligence. Submit a minitrack to an AI track when the AI system is the primary object of study. Submit it to a domain track when the research focuses on a substantive domain in which AI is used. Track descriptions on the conference website identify each track’s scope and closest neighboring tracks.
